Few more months and then we will be welcoming 2026 and like the previous years, ou r gaming calendar is LITERALLY packed with new game releases  for PC as well as console. Kicking things off early this month is Ghost of Yotei, a slice of samurai action which you will only find on PS5 consoles–for now–while Microsoft’s big releases include Keeper and The Outer Worlds 2. Not to be outdone, Nintendo is dropping Pokemon Legends: Z-A and is releasing its Super Mario Galaxy games from purgatory.

In short we can say that, the year just wouldn’t feel right without a Ubisoft game encouraging you to get off your couch and move to the groove of chart-topping hits that will make you feel old.

So, without much delay, let us check out the rest of the 2025 gaming calendar!

Pokemon Legends: Z-A

Not only has it inherited similar Pokemon-catching mechanics from Pokemon Legends: Arceus, but battles have been reinvented as well. The game also takes place in a version of Lumiose City which has been completely renovated for a super grand battle royale, and along with that with Mega Evolutions returning as well, this new Pokemon game looks like a fresh and have an exciting chapter in the franchise.

What makes this new entry in the series different from other story is that it adds co-op to the macabre adventure, allowing two players to share their terror together. Well, we already know “sharing is scaring, after all”.

Retro fighting game loves, you can look forward to Mortal Kombat’s classic arcade games and home console ports when the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection bicycle-kicks its way onto PC and console this month.

The interesting thing is that this bundle offers 11 standalone Mortal Kombat games and it also comes with a look behind the curtain at how they were made. Digital Eclipse has put together new interviews and has gathered archival content for this release so that they can create a Mortal Kombat time capsule. The PlayStation-era spin-offs Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero and Mortal Kombat Special Forces are also included here, where you might think why? It is because it is giving the franchise fans a chance to revisit two infamous games that have been unavailable for decades on PC and newer consoles, mostly because they are bad.
